Daughter of Mrs. Howard McWilliams Weds Edwin Muller,Jr.

The wedding of Edwin Muller, Jr. of Lexington, KY, and Miss Eleanor Ryckman Brown, a daughter of Mrs. Howard McWilliams of New York and Plainfield, NJ took place last evening at 8 o'clock at the Central Presbyterian Church at Madison Avenue and Fifty-seventh Street. The wedding ceremony was performed by the Rev. Edwin Muller of Lexington, the father of the bridegroom, assisted by the Rev. John S. Zelie of Plainfield, NJ.

The bride walked with her stepfather, Howard McWilliams, who gave her in marriage.

Miss Marjorie Walbridge Brown, whose marriage to Kenneth H. Condit will take place June 1, was her sister's maid of honor.

The wedding dates of the Misses Eleanor Ryckman Brown and Marjorie Walbridge Brown, daughters of Mrs. Howard McWilliams of 525 Park Avenue, New York, have been announced. Miss Eleanor Brown's marriage to Edwin Muller, Jr., of Lexington, Ky., is to take place in the Central Presbyterian Church, Madison Avenue and Ffity-seventh Street, this city, on Tuesday, April 23, at 8 o'clock in the evening, with a reception afterward at the Gotham. The father of Mr. Muller, the Rev. Edwin Muller of Lexington, Ky., will perform the wedding ceremony, assisted by the Rev. John S. Zelie of Plainfiled, N.J. Miss Brown will have her sister, Miss Marjorie Walbridge Brown, as her maid of honor. The bridesmaids selected are the Misses Dorothy Tuttle of Brooklyn, Helen Harrington of Plainfield, Frances Walbridge of Springfield, Mass., Margaret Mears of Portlant, Ore., Sarah Washburn of Evanston, Ill., and Katherine M. Mayer of Indianapolis, Ind. Mortimer Glover Muller is to be his brother's best man, and the ushers chosen are James O. Murray of Plainfield, Charles Bates Hunter of Cambridge, Mass, John N. Gatch of Cincinnati, Ohio; Robert Lynd of Louisville, Ky., Kenneth H. Condit of Princeton and Charles Bann of St. Paul, Minn.

The wedding of Miss Marjorie Brown and Kenneth Hamilton Condit of Princeton is set for June 5 at the Crescent Avenue Church, Plainfied, and it is to be followed by a reception at the Summer home of Mr. and Mrs. McWilliams on Hillside Avenue, Plainfied. The Misses Brown are Mrs. McWilliams's children by her former husband, the late Paul Taylor Brown of Philadelphia, Penn., and granddaughters of the late Olin G. Walbridge of Prospect Park West, Brooklyn.

May 28, 1868, at Philadelphia, Pa., son of John Williams Brown and Lydia T. Brock. Mr. Brown is a member of J. W. Brown & Co., 103 Arch St., Philadelphia, Pa., dealers in high grade canned goods, olives and olive oil. They reside at 4023 Pine St.

Princeton

Born in Brooklyn, N.Y. 1858; fitted for College at the Brooklyn Polytechnic Institute; graduated Princeton, 1888; engaged in mercantile business in New York City, 188-89; studied law with Julien T. Davies and in Columbia Law School and admitted to the Bar in spring 1891; has been engage in practice in New York City ever since that date.

Howard McWilliams, Lawyer, was born in Brooklyn, New York, April 19, 1868, son of Daniel W. and Helen Frances (Marquand) McWilliams. His father was born in Orange county, New York, and was of Scotch ancestry. One of his ancestors served in the Revolutionary Army. His mother's family, the Marquands, were originally Huguenots, from the Island of Guernsey. His mother is niece of Henry T. and Frederick Marquand of New York. The subject of this sketch graduated from the Brooklyn Polytechnic Institute in 1883; and although he passed examinations for the Class of 1887 at Princeton, did not enter College until the fall of 1884, graduating from that University in the Class of 1888. For a year after graduating he was engaged in mercantile business with a wholesale house in New York City, and at the end of the year, having decided to adopt law as a profession, he entered as a student in the law office of Julien T. Davies. He also pursued his studies in Columbia Law School and was admitted to the Bar in the spring of 1891, since which time he has been engaged in the active practice of his profession in New York City. Mr. McWilliams is a member of the Bar Associations of New York and Brooklyn, the Princeton Club of New York and the Crescent Athletic Club of Brooklyn. In politics he is a Republican.
