How would it feel to float on a cloud and leave all the stress of your hectic life behind... Our Floatation Meditation therapy can help provide that very experience.
The Floatation Tank is approximately 8.5' long, 4' wide and 4' high. It is filled with 10" of water containing 900 pounds of medical grade Epsom salt resulting in body buoyancy. The temperature of the water and air in the tank is maintained at 94.0 degrees, the same as your body's skin temperature. With the combination of the weightlessness of your floating body and the water temperature, your brain feels as though you are floating in space. The Epsom salts, which have been used for medicinal purposes for centuries, help pull toxins from your body as your meditation unfolds.
Floating can be passive or active, depending on the purpose. For relaxation, one simply floats and 'clears the mind.' With no light or sound in the tank, your mind enters a "wakeful dream" state and begins to float outside of you, offering an amazing therapeutic meditative experience.
Active floating has many different techniques. One may perform meditation, mantras, self-hypnosis, or utilize educational programs. When the body is relaxed, the mind becomes highly suggestible and information easily enters the sub-conscious.
Floatation therapy may be used to complement other body work and healing methods.
