Class A CDL - Dumptruck / Trailer

A Class A CDL is required to drive any combination of vehicles with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds provided the GVWR of the vehicle(s) being towed is in excess of 10,000 pounds.

Drivers with a Class A license may, with the appropriate endorsements and restrictions, operate any Class B or Class C vehicle.

This course is designed for the local contractor/landscaper who is hauling a trailer over 10,000 pounds. This course is individualized training and requires large vehicle experience. A skills assessment will be conducted prior to the beginning of class. This class is used as the upgrade from Class B to Class A.
