Class A CDL - Long Haul Training
A Class A CDL is required to drive any combination of vehicles with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds provided the GVWR of the vehicle(s) being towed is in excess of 10,000 pounds.
Drivers with a Class A license may, with the appropriate endorsements and restrictions, operate any Class B or Class C vehicle.
This program is designed to take the trainee from basics to advanced knowledge of the requirement for a Class A CDL.
The program is structured to provide each student with sufficient behind-the-wheel driving time for development of practical skills needed to obtain a Class A CDL.
This program also satisfies the requirement for the 10 hour entry level driver basic safety training in accordance with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA).
ABTC offers a variety programs, depending on the experience of the trainee. Experienced trainees may join the "Fast Track" program after completing a pre-course driving practical.
All successful graduates will receive job placement assistance. Services in various transportation fields including local, regional and even national jobs.
